Totally Postal Thursday 12/30/2010

Happy Totally Postal Thursday everyone. Totally Postal Thursday is a meme that I began to list all the books I receive each week. Now that the holiday is over and we are 2 days away from a new year, I'm excited to see what everyone else have bought/won/borrowed/received since last week. I didn't receive any books for Christmas but I did pick up a few free books and one for $0.99 at Barnes and Noble for my Nook.
So what made you totally postal this week? You can make a post on your own blog, list all the books you’ve received since last Friday and then tell us how you got them and where on your TBR list they will be and then link up (direct URL, please) here:

Totally Postal Thursday 12/23/2010

Happy Totally Postal Thursday everyone. Can you all believe we are only a few days away from Christmas and only a week and a half until a new year. I think this year has flown by too quickly. This week I only got one book for my Totally Postal Thursday post. This is a book I got for review and I'm excited to read it.

  • Delirious - Daniel Palmer

Totally Postal Thursday

Happy Totally Postal Thursday...LOL. I actually did not think I would have anything today and as I was getting ready to write this post I got an email in my inbox for a code to get a book that I won. I won the book on Library Thing and honestly I didn't even remember that I had signed up for a giveaway on there. I also won two books from NetGalley. So I guess all in all I did pretty well this week. I am also still on a high since the end of my giveaway :-). Here are my Totally Postal Thursday books

  • Pale Demon - Kim Harrison
  • Overdue for Pleasure - Shelley Aikens
  • Paranormal - Stories fromt he Other Side - Daryl Sedore

Totally Postal Thursday

This is my favorite time of year, besides my birthday. I LOVE the Christmas holiday season. I have been listening to Christmas songs since Monday morning and for once since I left the East Coast, I am in the spirit early. I think that also includes the spirit of gifting, except I'm gifting my Nook :-). I thought I was going to be good this week and technically I was. I only bought one book so that I could let my dear friend read it but then of course I found a slew of freebies on the Barnes and Noble site.

  • Tempted - P.C Cast

Totally Postal Thursday

I am EXTREMELY proud of myself this past week. I did not purchase ANY books. Yes that's right, none. But I did download one free book on my Nook. I figure, it's free so why not that still counts as me being good. I think the fact that I'm trying to read a couple books at once got me distracted. The book I downloaded is

  • Michael Tolliver Lives - Armistead Maupin

Totally Postal Thursday

Now that Halloween is over, it seems all I can keep seeing is Christmas stuff. I LOVE the holiday season. I think what I need to ask for are BN giftcards for Christmas...LOL. I thought I was being really good this week because I almost got through the week without buying a book. However, I wasn't very successful, I accidentally bought a book a few nights ago. Don't ask how it was an accident because I'm still trying to figure it out myself.

  • House of Night Series #7 - Burned
  • House of Night Series #5 - Hunted
  • Deceit - Brandilyn Collins
  • Perfect - Harry Kraus
  • Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine

Totally Postal Thursday

This last week was a good week, I didn't purchase as many books. I've been waiting for an ARC from B&N so that I can participate in their First Look book club. I haven't received it yet but I almost ripped my husband a new one earlier in the week because I thought he was hoarding the mail in his car and my package was in there, but it wasn't. I haven't been reading as much as I hoped but after next week I will be able to :-) So this week I will have a short list for you. Here's my 'Totally Postal Thursday' list:

  • Notes From Out of the Shadows - Word Snapshots of a Mind Journey, a book of Poetry and Prose - Garnet June with Helen Ellena
  • All Points North - Shelby R. Lee III
  • While the Savage Sleeps - Andrew E Kaufman
  • Slights - Kaaron Warren
  • Before I Fall - Lauren Oliver
  • Sandman Slim - Richard Kadrey
  • The Ghost Shrink, the Accidental Gigolo, & the Poltergeist Accountant - Vivi Andrews

Totally Postal Thursday

This last week was a good week. I participated in the read-a-thon and that was fun but I didn't get as much read as I wanted to. I thought some friends would have an intervention for me but no, so I continue to feed my addiction. Here's my 'Totally Postal Thursday' list:
Hunt at the Well of Eternity - Gabriel Hunt
The Maze Runner - James Dashner
Milrose Munce and the Den of Professional Help - Douglas Cooper
The Scars
Rooms - Emma Donahue
Darkness Stalks the Night - Bruce Blake
Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine

Barnes & Noble is EVIL....LMAO just kidding, I love that place

Totally Postal Thursday

Last week I thought I needed BBA therapy. I think I'm way past that point right now. I need a serious intervention. I keep saying I'm not buying anymore books until I read some of the ones on my TBR but I keep buying for my Nook and keep signing up for more review opportunities. So this week I have a pretty good list for 'Totally Postal Thursday'. Here goes:
Deadly Little Secrets (Touch Series #1) - Laurie Faria Stolarz
City of Ashes - Cassandra Clare
City of Glass - Cassandra Clare
Torment - Lauren Kate
Hush, Hush - Becca Fitzpatrick
Let the Right One In - John Ajvide Lindqvuist
As I Die Lying - Scott Nicholson
Windows to the Soul - J.M. Barlog
The Tle of Halcyon Crane - Wendy Webb
The Strain (Strain Trilogy #1) - Guillermo del Toro
Kell's Legend - Andy Remic

Barnes & Noble just opened up their PubIt where authors can self-publish electronic books directly to their website so I'm thinking I may be in trouble in the near future.

Totally Postal Thursday

I think I need BBA therapy. In the last week, although I said I wasn't going to buy anymore books and actually made a list of the books I have that I want to read, I still ended up with books. So I decided to start a new meme called 'Totally Postal Thursday'.
Each week I will list the books I have acquired that week, whether through an author for review, a friend or on my Nook. To participate, list your books that you have acquired for the week. I'm sure with all the books, there will be more I will want to add to my list...LOL

Here's my list:

The Postcard Killers - James Patterson
The 7th Victim - Alan Jacobson
Crave - J.R. Ward (pre-order)
Crush - Alan Jacobson
House - Ted Dekker & Frank Peretti
Clockwork Angel - Cassandra Clare

This may not seem like a lot to others, but these were purchased after I ordered 6 books for my son.
